Marrakesh The City Of Art

With programming 2007 as prestigious as its predecessors, the appointment of Marrakesh film intends to show that seven years of existence mature enough to make a festival dedicated to the seventh art.

By inviting Leonardo Di Caprio at opening night, in which the organizers wanted to pay tribute and to the Moroccan filmmaker Mustapha Darkaoui, ocher the city has once again demonstrated minds.

During the competition, Marrakesh schedule a hundred films in which the highlight will undoubtedly projection on the square Jamâa Al Fna "The Aviator" in the presence of the principal actor, Leonardo Di Caprio, and director Martin Scoreses. Just that. The festival will review the year of a film that Morocco is home to the camera Daoud Aouald-Syad in "Waiting Pasolini" selected for the meeting "Best bet". Concert will be a tribute to Egypt, during the one hundred years of a widely acclaimed movie in Morocco. A retrospective of forty films will be screened in the presence of Egyptian stars.

With such a program, The Festival Of Marrakesh justifies his ambition which is to be around the greatest planetary meeting of cinema.

For that Marrakesh will become the showcase of a market that, for the moment, remains embryonic.

The Federation of Moroccan Traditional Couture does again this year at the disposal of prestigious guests of the festival two show-rooms (1ready & 1sell) held in the evenings official to be held from 07 to 15 December 2007.
